Featured Projects

The following are just a few examples of my creative vision and leadership, where every space tells a unique story through design.

Person with blonde hair wearing a cowboy hat, seated in a vehicle, looking out the front windshield at a rural landscape with rolling hills.

Vanishing Cowboy

Role: Producer / Writer / Director

Format: Feature Documentary (Post-Production)

Rural communities and working-class identities are often romanticized or erased, but rarely understood from the inside. Audiences are hungry for stories that treat these lives with dignity rather than nostalgia or judgment.

THE HUMAN INSIGHT

I led the film with a character-driven, observational approach—allowing the story to unfold through lived experience rather than narration or agenda. The goal was emotional proximity: letting audiences feel the quiet tension, pride, and vulnerability of a disappearing way of life.

THE CREATIVE IDEA

  • Led narrative development and overall storytelling vision from concept through post-production

  • Directed creative collaborators toward tonal restraint, emotional authenticity, and narrative clarity

  • Partnered closely with production to balance creative ambition with budget and logistical realities

  • Presented story vision to funders and collaborators, successfully securing $18K+ in production funding

MY ROLE

  • Award-recognized story treatment and documentary project

  • Advanced through multiple competitive funding and screenplay programs

  • Currently in post-production with strong early industry interest

THE OUTCOME

Film poster titled 'The Beige Between' by Randi Johns, featuring a woman with closed eyes floating in dark water with vertical white lines overlaying the image.

The Beige Between

Role: Writer / Director

Format: Short Film (In Development)

Moments of emotional in-between—grief, transition, identity shift—are often where people feel most unseen. These quiet spaces hold enormous narrative power when treated with honesty.

THE HUMAN INSIGHT

I approached the story with minimalism and emotional restraint, allowing silence, framing, and character behavior to carry meaning rather than exposition. The tone prioritizes intimacy over explanation.

THE CREATIVE IDEA

  • Developed original concept and narrative framework

  • Directed collaborators toward a consistent emotional tone and visual language

  • Refined story through feedback and competitive screenplay programs

MY ROLE

  • Quarter-Finalist and Second-Round recognition across multiple screenplay competitions

  • Selected for New Media Film Festival consideration

  • Currently in development with collaborators attached

THE OUTCOME

A woman with wavy hair and glasses looking at the camera, with colorful glitch effects. Text overlay reads: "You care too much" and smaller text below says: "for people who care a lot."

Role: Creator / Producer / Host

Format: Podcast + Digital Publishing

“You Care Too Much”

THE HUMAN INSIGHT

People doing purpose-driven work are rarely given space to speak candidly about doubt, care, and emotional labor. Audiences crave conversations that feel honest, not optimized.

I created a conversational, curiosity-led format that prioritized emotional intelligence over performance. The show blended long-form interviews with thoughtful editorial framing and audience engagement.

THE CREATIVE IDEA

  • Led concept, tone, and narrative voice of the series

  • Wrote, recorded, edited, and published episodes and supporting content

  • Recruited and managed freelance collaborators, including original music contributors

  • Shaped the project across audio, video, and written formats

MY ROLE

  • Reached listeners in 70+ countries

  • Built an engaged, values-aligned audience

  • Demonstrated end-to-end creative ownership across platforms

THE OUTCOME

Woman wearing sunglasses, a cap, and a bandana around her neck, smiling outdoor during sunset near a lake with hills in the background.
